The challenge: to reduce energy consumption in the cold store.
The Bailleul dairy, a Danone Group plant in Flanders, is the first plant in the group to use the cool roof on its roofs. Faced with ever-increasing energy costs, the plant decided to take action to control its expenditure. The project involves the application of the CovaTherm system throughout the cold logistics warehouse to reduce the consumption of the refrigeration units.
The roofs of the process and packaging areas were also treated to improve working conditions for employees during the summer months.
