Why a flat roof runs hot

A flat roof faces the sun head-on for most of the day. The surface, often dark, can pass 80°C in summer, and that heat drops straight to the floors below.

How a reflective coating works on a flat roof

A reflective coating bounces radiation back instead of soaking it up. On a flat roof, CovaSeal 20 is often the pick: it reinforces the waterproofing and cools in one pass.

Reflective flat roof coating or new waterproofing

New waterproofing runs €80 to €100/m², and up to €150/m² with insulation. A reflective coating comes in around €20 to €25/m².
