Steel deck makes up a big share of industrial, logistics and commercial roofs and cladding. Light and cheap, it has two well-known weaknesses: it conducts heat and it rusts.
Why a steel-deck roof runs hot and corrodes
Metal is a great conductor. Under the sun, a dark metal sheet heats up fast and passes that heat inside with almost no lag. The heat-condensation cycle then speeds up the rust.

Reflective steel-deck coating or a new covering
